John is bringing his unique talents back to Runaway with a new set of classes. He will be here from April 6-8, and he’ll be offering three classes, each of which provides its own unique flair!
Mixed Media Resin Jewelry with John Creighton Petersen
Friday, April 6 @ 6 – 9 pm Instructor: John Creighton Petersen Cost $75
Of course, John can’t come to Runaway without at least one jewelry class! And this is a wonderful one. Explore how to make stunning mixed media jewelry pieces by building color and texture with dimensional elements using the newest releases from ICE Resin®. In class you’ll create two pieces of jewelry – a layered domino and a textured bezel. All supplies are included for this class, including necklace chains, but you are welcome to bring your favorite small charms/embellishments that you may want to use to customize your product.

After this class, your next mixed media project will never be the same! Learn how to build amazing layers of texture and color, including faux encaustic techniques using a variety of products from Finnabair/Prima®. Turn found objects into amazing embellishments and incorporate them into your complete canvas. Student supplies: paintbrushes, palette knives, scissors, craft knife, background images (copies of photos, printed papers, etc.), favorite large format stencils (optional), found objects/embellishments.

Create layers of texture and color with the newest releases from Finnabair/Prima® – and learn new ways to use your favorite products as well. All of the techniques used in the class can easily be adapted to almost any surface.
